The importance of being able to experience culture at home has been a powerful theme throughout CTC. We have explored the wellbeing effects of individuals’ creativity in their own spaces through group arts projects, the ‘My Album,’ diary and filmmaking activities. We have experimented with a range of hybrid environments for people who find it difficult to get out, to fully participate in workshopsbe included in co-design activities But one of the six prototype projects developed by co-researchers and creative practitioners – ‘Murmurations – nothing about us without us’ took it one step further. The project explored how to bring extraordinary stories of disabled and LGBTQ+ people into the home, using technology and art to provide points of recognition, community and support resilience. One of the team said: “it’s not a version B of the experience but the actual experience at home.” To the right is an extract from the transcript of a film about Murmurations.
