tackling inequalities; promoting inclusion
Contributions to Scholarship
Our Impact Stories show how CTC has had an effect on a variety of individual and organisational stakeholders’ lives and practice, but that should not overshadow our outputs which speak to academia. Our interdisciplinary team have presented at a wide range of academic conferences in order to share our findings along the way. These have included conferences focussed on gerontology (British Society of Gerontology 2022, 2023), creative industries and cultural research (Cities, Knowledge, Culture, 2023) and human computer interaction (Computer Supported Collaborative work (CSCW), 2023). We have completed three journal articles which are ‘in press’ for CSCW, the Journal of Responsible Innovation and the Journal of Ageing Studies. These publications have focussed on the process of co-designing technologies alongside minoritised older adults and have explored different design sites and methods adopted across the life cycle of our project. Our findings reflect the need to disrupt unjust assumptions about older adults written into digital innovation practices and processes.
